This Privacy Policy applies solely to the RadioLive mobile application ("the App") available on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
What Data We Collect and Why
We collect only the minimum data necessary to operate the App. The categories of data and their legal bases under UK GDPR are as follows:
- Device identifiers and usage data — collected automatically to diagnose crashes, monitor performance, and improve the App. Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).
- Advertising identifiers (GAID / IDFA) — used by Google AdMob to serve personalised or non-personalised advertisements. Legal basis: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR). You may withdraw consent or opt out at any time via your device settings.
- Purchase transaction records — processed by Google Play or Apple App Store when you make an in-app purchase. We receive only confirmation of the purchase and its tier; full payment data is handled exclusively by the platform operator. Legal basis: Performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR).
- Network information — used solely to optimise stream quality. This data is not stored beyond the active session. Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR).
We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other directly identifying information through the App itself.
Google AdMob and Advertising
The free tier of RadioLive is supported by advertising provided by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. AdMob may use cookies, device identifiers, and similar technologies to serve ads that are relevant to you based on your interests.
On first launch, the App presents a consent dialogue in accordance with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) and Google's EU User Consent Policy. You may choose personalised or non-personalised ads, or withdraw consent at any time in the App's settings.
Google's privacy policy is available at: policies.google.com/privacy
To opt out of interest-based advertising on Android, go to Settings → Privacy → Ads. On iOS, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
In-App Purchases
RadioLive offers three tiers of access:
- Free — supported by advertising; no charge.
- Monthly subscription (£0.49/month) — removes ads; billed monthly via Google Play or App Store.
- Lifetime licence (£4.99 one-time) — removes ads permanently with a single payment.
All payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play (Google LLC) or the Apple App Store (Apple Inc.) according to their respective terms and privacy policies. We do not receive, store, or process your payment card details.
Purchase records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law (minimum 6 years under UK HMRC guidelines).
Third-Party Services
The App may incorporate the following third-party services, each operating under its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob — advertising (free tier only). Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
- Google Play Billing / Apple StoreKit — payment processing. Policies available from Google and Apple respectively.
- Radio Browser API (radio-browser.info) — open-source radio station directory. No personal data is transmitted to this service.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for their own marketing purposes.
Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law:
- Crash and diagnostic data — retained for up to 90 days, then automatically deleted.
- Advertising identifiers — retained by AdMob in accordance with Google's data retention policies.
- Purchase records — retained for 6 years in accordance with UK HMRC requirements.
International Transfers
Your data may be processed outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States, by our third-party service providers (in particular, Google LLC). Where such transfers occur, they are subject to appropriate safeguards including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), or reliance on an adequacy decision.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data to us, please contact us at contact@innovationhubstudio.co.uk and we will take prompt steps to delete such information.
