Privacy Policy
Collision Radar. Last updated: 12 July 2026.
Collision Radar is operated by Innovation Hub Studio Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the Collision Radar app processes, and, just as importantly, what it does not.
What we process
- An anonymous device identifier. When you first open the app, it generates a random identifier (a UUID) on your device. This identifier is not derived from your name, email, phone number, hardware serial numbers, or advertising identifiers. It exists only so we can count how many scans your device has remaining. We cannot connect it to you as a person.
- Your credit balance. The number of scans remaining for your device identifier, stored on our server hosted in the EU.
- Purchase events. When you buy a credit pack, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details. Our payment infrastructure provider, RevenueCat, notifies our server that a purchase succeeded so we can add credits to your device identifier. The notification contains the purchase event, the product purchased, and your anonymous device identifier.
- Short-lived search terms. To run a scan, the app derives a few generic keywords from your description (for example "mileage tracker"). Public search results for these keywords are cached on our server for up to 24 hours to reduce load on the app store search services. These cached entries are generic and are not linked to your device identifier.
- Standard server logs. Like almost every internet service, our web server records the IP address and time of incoming requests for security and abuse prevention. These logs are retained for a short period and then deleted. The content of your scans is not in these logs.
What we do not do
- No accounts. You never give us your name, email, or password.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs inside the app.
- No advertising, and no sharing of data with advertisers.
- No selling of data to anyone, in any form.
Legal bases
Under UK GDPR, we process the anonymous device identifier and credit balance because they are necessary to provide the service you request (performance of a contract). We process server logs on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure and preventing abuse.
Third parties
Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) under their own terms and privacy policies. Purchase notifications are processed by RevenueCat, whose privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy. Scan queries are sent to Apple's public iTunes Search API and to publicly available Google Play search, containing only the derived generic keywords, never your full description and never your device identifier.
Delete your data
Collision Radar, by Innovation Hub Studio Ltd, does not use accounts, so there is no account to delete. Here is exactly what you can ask us to remove, and how.
What gets deleted: the anonymous device identifier and its associated credit balance, stored on our server.
What is not affected by this request: purchase records held by Apple or Google as part of your App Store or Google Play purchase history, which are controlled by their own retention policies, not ours. Uninstalling the app also permanently removes the identifier from your device, which has the same practical effect for future use, though it does not delete the (non-identifying) balance record on our server until you also make the request above.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and objection. A practical note: because we hold no identity data, the only way we can locate data connected to you is through the device identifier stored in your app. If you contact us with that identifier, we can delete the associated credit balance. Deleting the app from your device removes the identifier from your device permanently.
Children
Collision Radar is a tool for app developers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly process data relating to children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
